Use the guided editor to build a single-image edit step by step, or explore all 15 individual tools for direct access and downloads. Crop, adjust colors, add frames or glass lettering, and explore sketches, cartoons, paintings, and pixel mosaics. Color Palette and Polaroid Collage are available on the Individual tools page.
The tool guides include settings, examples, and troubleshooting for all 15 tools. Start with Glass Type, Pixelate, Color Palette, or Polaroid Collage. Color Palette can also generate colors without a photo and copies HEX codes instead of downloading an image.
No. Editing happens in your browser, your original file stays unchanged, and nothing is published to the gallery. This also applies to images selected for Color Palette. No account is needed. Gallery photographs and files uploaded through administrator tools are stored on the site’s hosting infrastructure; see the Privacy Policy.
Use JPG, PNG, or WebP images up to 30 MB, 40 megapixels, and 16,000 pixels per side. These limits apply to each photo in a collage. Download as JPG for a smaller file or PNG for lossless output and transparency where supported. Collages use your chosen background color. Try smaller images if processing feels slow. Color Palette accepts images up to 30 MB and 40 megapixels and provides copyable HEX codes rather than JPG or PNG downloads.
Creative tool downloads include a small Horizons logo signature by default. Sign in before starting your edit and select Remove signature logo before downloading to export without it. In the guided editor, this option is at the final Download step. You can use every tool and download your creations without an account. Color Palette copies color codes and does not add a signature.
Choose one image in the guided editor, then follow Upload → Crop → Adjust → Effects → Finish → Download. Apply & continue keeps the current edit and passes it to the next step; Skip this step leaves the image unchanged. Intermediate edits preserve transparency and avoid repeated JPG compression. The signature is added only when downloading. For a complete example, follow the keepsake walkthrough.
In an editing step, choose Compare before this step. Drag the slider to reveal the image entering that step, including all earlier applied edits, alongside the current live preview. You can also focus the slider and use the arrow keys. For example, at Frame, the before side includes your applied crop and filter. At Download, Compare original shows the untouched upload against the finished image. Comparison does not change the image or appear in your download.
Use Undo and Redo to move through applied edits. Expand History to see the sequence or reset to the original image. The numbered steps let you revisit a tool; Discard preview changes resets its unapplied adjustments. Applying a new edit after Undo replaces the later history. Earlier edits are flattened into the current image, so changing an earlier tool does not automatically rebuild the edits that followed it.
Yes. Use the Guided editor and Individual tools links to switch pages while keeping your uploaded image and applied edits. Apply changes in the guided editor before switching. In Individual tools, download the result before leaving if you want to keep that tool’s preview adjustments. Unapplied tool settings are not carried between the pages.
Edits stay in memory while the editor remains open. Download your finished image before refreshing, closing the tab, or navigating away from the two editor pages. Sessions and editing history are not saved across reloads. Replacing or removing the image clears its history.
Explore focus, exposure, and subject movement.
Visit the Photography lab to explore camera settings, depth of field, and shutter speed through interactive previews. Use the scene presets as starting points, then adjust the settings to see what changes. These illustrations and estimates help explain the choices; check exposure and sharpness on your camera for the actual scene.
In Learn → Depth of field, choose a preset or adjust aperture, focal length, and focus distance. Select a subject to focus on it; the indicators show which subjects fall within the calculated sharpness zone. Enable Compare apertures to compare two f-numbers with the same lens, sensor, focus distance, and subject positions. Blur is illustrative; optical bokeh and diffraction are not simulated.
In Learn → Subject motion, adjust Shutter speed and Subject speed, then enable Compare shutter speeds. Play movement animates the flight; Pause movement lets you inspect it. The motion trail illustrates travel during the exposure. Camera shake and wing motion are not modeled.
The Noise & detail example keeps brightness matched so you can compare simulated grain. The ISO labels illustrate increasing noise, rather than predicting a particular camera. For brightness changes, use the Exposure example and its exposure triangle.
In Plan a shoot, choose a subject, adjust the setup, then open the field card to download a PDF. Your current setup is also remembered in this browser when local storage is available. The PDF keeps a copy you can take with you.
Manage your profile, sign-in, and account.
Create an account with your email or Google. For email registration, follow the password checks and open the verification email to activate member features. Review and accept the Terms and Conditions when creating an email account or continuing with Google. Terms agreement is separate from optional analytics consent.
Request a reset link using your account email. The link expires in one hour. Choose a new password, then sign in again.
Sign in and open Your account. Select Delete account, enter your account email, then select Permanently delete account. This permanently removes your profile, ratings, linked sign-ins, and messages sent from that account, and signs you out on all devices. It cannot be undone. Email verification is not required to delete your account. If you have uploaded gallery photographs through administrator tools, remove them first. You can still browse and use creative tools without an account. See the Privacy Policy for information about backups and provider records.
Check your inbox and spam folder before requesting another email. Use the newest link if you have requested more than one. Requests are limited to prevent unwanted messages; if you reach a limit, wait before trying again. Password reset emails have a separate allowance from verification emails.
Use the same sign-in method you registered with and make sure your email is verified. Check your spam folder for verification mail. If you’ve made too many attempts, wait before retrying; for loading problems, check your connection and refresh.

You can still browse, use creative tools, and download your creations. Optional analytics are off unless you opt in. When allowed, they count page views, gallery activity, tool interactions, shares, rating submissions, and downloads by day. Event context includes public page titles and URLs, device breakpoint, browser language, timezone, and referring site. They do not store your image or an individual user identifier. The endpoint uses a hashed IP address for rate limiting. Anonymous server counters still measure functionality request successes and failures without visitor identifiers, browser metadata, or request contents. Essential security and operational records continue.
Open Cookie Consent, adjust Allow site activity analytics and select Save preferences, or choose Reject optional analytics. Withdrawal stops future reports from this browser and does not remove aggregate counts already collected. No analytics cookie is set; local storage remembers your choice for up to 180 days. A different browser, cleared storage, or an expired preference requires a new choice. If the choice cannot be saved, optional analytics remain off.
To delete your account, sign in and open Your account, select Delete account, and confirm with your account email. For access, correction, other deletion requests, or help if you cannot sign in, contact contact@horizons.photos. We may need to verify your identity for requests handled by email. Provider records and backups may remain for their applicable retention periods, and account deletion does not remove aggregate analytics counts. See the Privacy Policy for the full explanation.
